Liquid Emulsion System
Rollei Black Magic
Rollei Black Magic is a unique product system which makes it possible to coat light sensitive photographic emulsion onto almost any kind of surface: glass, wood, textile fabric, ceramics, metal, stones, plastics etc... Black Magic emulsion (available as variable contrast, or grade 3) can be used on its own in a similar way to other liquid emulsions, but the complete system also includes an optional gelatin solution for greater adherence to less porous substrates (as well as allowing for greater economy of the developer), as well as a hardening additive which can be added to the developer to increase the strength of the final result prior to fixation. Rollei Black Magic has a very high silver content and is packaged in superior ultra wide-mouthed opaque bottles to allow for all of the solution to be easily used without wastage.
