Edwal Film Developers - Case Selection
FG7 is a classic, general purpose black and white film developer. Consistently produces uniform results. The ideal film developer for most darkroom situations. Most economical developer available. 1 oz. of FG7 can develop 2 rolls of film. With FG7, you have the option of many dilutions and methods of use for every continuous tone film. For example: diluted 1:15 for one-shot development, this compensating developer provides superior sharpness and grain; by adding a 9% solution of Edwal Sodium Sulfite, it gives finer grain on all films and FG7 offers various dilutions for rapid development of sheet films, roll films and push processing.

Litho F is a single-solution black and white developer, excellent for working with litho derivations, solarizations, posterizations, title slides, etc. Also can be used for making line negatives on litho-coated paper and film. By enlarging an ordinary "continuous tone" negative onto litho paper, and developing it in Litho F, a high-contrast positive image is obtained with the middle tones tending to "drop out". When litho film positive is printed by contact onto another sheet of litho film and again developed in Litho F, the degree of middle tone "drop out" increases and the resulting litho film negative can then be printed by enlargement or contact onto regular photo printing paper. The results....unlimited litho derivations, silhouettes, solarizations, posterizations or bas-relief effects.
