ROLLEI BLACK MAGIC 5 is a special hardener which can be added to the developer solution. It is recommended for use with all materials and will improve adhesion and strengthen the mechanical resistance of the emulsion. Liquid photo emulsions are basically unhardened and must be hardened with RBM5 during the development stage to avoid damage. Supplied as liquid concentrate.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This additive if for use in the developer. Do NOT use in fixing baths!
CAUTION: The concentrated solution has a pH-value of 3. Therefore it acts as an strong acid, which must be handled very carefully. Please avoid contact with other photographic concentrates. Always add this concentrate as the final ingredient when mixing working solution. For example:
1. Developer concentrate 150-175 ml
2. Water 775 ml
3. RBM5 75-50 ml
= Working solution 1,000 ml
Note: When added to some developers, this additive can be used to increase the warmth of the image tone. RBM5 is to be used for liquid emulsions, glossy FB papers, and film materials.
