| Distilled water, 125F/52C | 750 ml |
| Metol | 2 g |
| Sodium Sulfite (anhydrous) | 100 g |
| Hydroquinone | 4 g |
| Borax | 2 g |
| Distilled cold water to make | 1L |
Mixing instructions: Add chemicals in specified sequence. Dissolve metol in 200ml water, then dissolve half of the sodium sulfite in 200ml water, then add the hydroquinone to this solution. When both solutions are fully dissolved, mix together well. Dissolve the rest of the sodium sulfite together with the borax in 400ml water. Once thoroughly dissolved, cool to room temperature and add to combined solution.
Dilution: Use undiluted
Starting point development time: 8 mins (65F/18C), 10 mins (68F/20C). For finest grain develop at 18°C or less.
