You are entitled to your opinion, but like your opinion about Rodinal, we don't care.

Re: Acufine as one shot: dilution? time?

A good place to start for times is right here at DT; just go to the Massive Dev Chart. Acufine can be used at stock or 1+1. Grain will be increased, as will contrast, but it may allow you to get a photo when you couldn't otherwise. Most of my Acufine images look "pushed", especially going to 3200. T...

It could be for nothing, but I'm just passing along the opportunity to view/sign the thing; nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Re: Kodak Film Announcements.

Oh, how wonderful! TXP in 220 was fine stuff.

To be fair, Kodak made more photo products than anybody; there are more items to chop, but I can't help but wonder, "What exactly DOES Kodak make anymore?"

Sometimes it makes a difference, sometimes not. Many times people don't know what they're talking about.

Re: Agfa MCC and Rollei Vintage

The idea of new APX films get batted about a bit at APUG and last I saw, they were waiting for the supply of 35mm to get sold off so Fotoimpex could produce a new run. right now there's still too much 35mm out there and a profit could not be made by making new film.

Re: Kodak To Discontinue Kodachrome.

I remember the Agfa 64. It was an E-6 film, if memory serves. I only shot a few rolls of this, but it was an interesting film. Kodachrome tends tends to have a bias to red, Ektachrome to blue and yellow, but the Agfa had a bias toward BROWN of all colors. It was interesting if given the right subjec...

Gary, The first thing to look for is the quality of these old chems. When mixing, make sure the powder is white. If the powder has turned brown, it has been oxidized and is most likely dead. Those old packets were made of paper and all it took was a small hole to let oxygen in. I've never used Perce...
