Ask him about the ZS with Rodinal. That should put some cricket in his crotch.

Zone system rules!!!
The ZS is fundamentally flawed, is not technically sound at all. Waste of time.
It works for countless other photographers. Can you explain why it doesn't work instead of saying so?

Hey, try 'em all! It does take some time to learn to know what a dev can and cannot do. Plus, film itself has changed over the years since these PPD devs came out. I just pass along info to be of help, but I don't intend to make up someones mind for them. I wish you luck with PPD and just because it...

Some interesting reading about a similar dev., Edwal 12. Noteworthy is Paul Howell's statement about using 4 rolls for seasoning and cutting dev time by 30%. Perhaps that makes the difference.

On second thought, I'll wait for the movie to come out. I'm not going to waste my time reading something from someone who can't even use his/her own name. I'm not the one who has something negative to say. I'm not the one who has a internet fight with everyone on this forum every time I open my mout...

A PDF means nothing! Like I said, anyone can can write something. I want to see this "breakthrough" work published by a major publisher in book or magazine form. Without the srutiny of the photo world, your words mean nothing.

Anybody can talk & write. Where can we view this piece of unbiased, technically correct, piece of literary art?

Re: A question regarding Rodinal

A seller on e-bay is selling rodinal, saying that A&O has sold their interest or whatever in producing Agfa chemicals, and that supplies are limited. I browsed the internet and could not find any news about this. Mr Vonk: set the record straight please. Jim[...

Jim, you certainly do have valid points, but there's more to it. Personally, I can't stand the tones and contrast of t-grain films and I often shoot waterfalls at slow shutter speeds and sometimes there is too much light on the falls; I need a really slow film like APX 25. There's also "just the way...

I tried the homebrew version with terrible results. My highlights were burned out and I gave up on it. I know this isn't telling you much, but it may be othe only answer you get here. Formulary's version may be different, but I don't think so. They may be able to recommend times and EI's for you and...

Kodak

I still use Kodak products and yes, most were excellent (we won't bring up 110). The problem I see is that Kodak is like a big sloath, you can light its ass on fire and it can only move so fast. Kodak has in its mind that it must make 10 trillion dollars a day on each item. If they don't, it's not w...
