Re: Neopan 1600 ---> 3200 w/ Microdol-X

Hey guys. I'm new to the forums, yeah whatever yatta yatta ya. Okay, here's my deal. I've got a couple of rolls of Neopan 1600 that I shot at 3200 with the intention of pushing. Now, I've never actually pushed film before (not on purpose, anyway), but I know how to do it. I've got myself a litre of...

I think all the developers suggested here are a good choice. Another choice that is quite popular in the UK where I live is Paterson Acutol which formulated to help enhance image definition. Ilford Perceptol which is similar to Microdol-X is now readily available once again. :)

D-76 & ID11 have been tried and trusted over many decades and are hard to beat. I actually prefer the results of T-Max films developed in D-76 than when they`re processed in T-MAX developers. (Unless the films are P-3200TMZ or Delta 3200.)

Ilford PQ Universal is not recommended for developing general use B&W films, it is a B&W print developer although it can be used with certain graphic-arts films.

Re: Stöckler formula

I have come across an old film developer created by Leica's Heinrich Stöckler in the 30'ies. It is a two-bath developer, and the purpose is said to address partly the roll-films challenge of varying contrast and partly the fact that exposure meters were rare among the public at that time, which res...
