TP

it makes me upset that this great film is on its way out.
There is no replacement for TP.
However a few of the MACO films might be a good try.

ORT-25; the same contrast.
TP64; as sharp not as much contrast.

This will have to do you..

The so-called replacements, copex and blue-fire, don’t come close to TP's quality.

TXP is a different film.

Bluefire Police film

Post by dfoy »

You do not need to use the Bluefire HR developer. Like Tech Pan, Bluefire Police is basically a microfilm. To get a good gray scale, process it in any soft-working developer, including POTA, Caffenol LC, or any of Bill Troop's document-film developers. I sell Bluefire HR developer to go with Bluefire Police film because I believe it gives the best results in balancing film speed with gray scale, but it is by no means the only developer you can use. Also, the formula for Bluefire HR is in the public domain, and is published on the Frugal Photographer web site. You can mix your own.

Celer-Stellar from Speedibrews is another developer to consider.
