Neopan 400 vs 400CN

Post by Peter Parkgate »

I am looking to experiment with the two alternative films and would welcome advice re developing the regular film in TMax developer. (My usual choice). Can I just use the normal table?

I will be scanning from both films using a Nikon Coolscan V scanner.

Many thanks in advance.

400 CN sounds like it`s designed to be processed in C-41 colour negative process.

Yeah definitely don't use 400 CN, the CN stands for Color Negative - you can't process it in TMax black and white developer. BUT neopan 400 with TMax is my standard setup and personal favorite out of any 400 film / developer combination. I think you will LOVE the results.
