Hi, I'm quitting my job here at Colortek Image World at the end of the week to return to school so there will be a job opening. I figured this would be as good a place as any to post this since my boss has been good to me and I'd like for him to be able to find someone experienced and knowledgeable about the photo and film industry. We've been struggling with just about all of the inexperienced peopel that have come in through newspaper ads and the like since they really have no interest in this industry or business. I'm hoping that maybe there will be someone on these forums that's looking for a full-time job.

I'll be honest, it's not the most glamorous job in the world. We're essentially a 1 hour photo lab located in downtown Manhattan. We've actually got 2 stores and I'm not sure which you would be assigned to if you decided to work, but one store is in the World Financial Center and the other is at 71 Broadway, near Ground Zero and the NY Stock Exchange. Although there is no requirement in terms of experience or knowledge, I personally feel that it is important to have someone that has knowledge about printing and film development simply because it ensures that we are able to provide our customers with high quality service and also ensure that we can communicate with them and give them accurate information. At any rate, the job is off the books and the pay is in cash. If you are interested, then please contact our World Financial Center store. Here is the information:

Colortek Image World (Winter Garden)
3 World Financial Center
New York, NY 10281
Tel: (212)945-0401
Ask for Peter (my boss).

*Edit. The store at 3 World Financial Center is currently using a Digital Portal DKS-1500 while the store at 71 Broadway is using a Noritsu QSS-2301SM. So of course if you have experience printing from either of these machines, it'd be helpful.

P.S. Why is it so difficult to find someone who can apply good color corrections to prints? :x
