how the hell does one develop acros 100 that was pushed to 800? all opinions are welcomed.

You'll have to push it 3 stops which, while excessive, should give you some sort of image. It will be grainy and the greys will be a bit crushed but that's better than nothing.
Fuji's datasheet only gives timings for pushing 1 stop: http://www.fujifilm.co.uk/technical/download/acros1.pdf
Find out what the time is for your usual developer at ISO 100 and 200 and then interpolate. As an example:
lfotec DD-X (1+4) @100 9 min
lfotec DD-X (1+4) @200 14 min
That's a 55% increase in developing time so you could estimate the time to push to 400 as 22 mins and 800 as 33 mins. Which is just mad... the developer will be exhauseted by then not to mention stone cold. But it gives you a starting point.
Look at the data sheet for a 'high speed' developer and see what they suggest.

Pushing Acros 100
Year ago 'Practical Photography' Magazine here in UK published a 'pushing' process called 'FF/DD' -Fast Film Dilute Developer which I tried and got some surprising results on some films. Try the technique: dilute a standard MQ Borax Dev. such as D76 1+4 and give it 1 hour at 68oF,agitation only every couple of minutes or so.
Got COMPUTERISED and 'slightly Digitised Pentax K10D' but FILM STILL RULES !
