Extended exposures

Post by Nivek »

Hiya all.

Does anyone know where I can download an extended exposure chart I can print off to put in my camera bag.

I’m particularly interested in the times over 30 secs and reciprocity failure.

I will be taking exposures of over 30 mins.

Can anyone help?

Kevin.

There is no sigle chart. Each film has it`s own reciprocity failure. Check the tech data at Kodak: http://www.kodak.com/global/en/professi ... ndex.jhtml , Fuji: http://www.fujifilm.co.uk/film/film.html , and Ilford: http://www.ilfordphoto.com/products/pro ... onal+Films

One 'reciprocity failure' effect you might experience with LONG time is an increase in contrast on negative materials-it is the opposite to the effect of very SHORT times such as fast flash where the negatives need extra development to combat lower contrast.
Got COMPUTERISED and 'slightly Digitised Pentax K10D' but FILM STILL RULES !
