Additiv BL20 and ilford hp5+

Post by Vahid »

just developed 2 rolls of ilford hp5+ 400, with the additiv BL20 (deepblue tones) but to my surprise the rolls were completely blank..as if erased. Is this an effect of the additiv?

developed with hc110 for 5 min

would appreciate clarity in this

Thanks,

The additiv is mainly used in the paper developing bath to give the print a deep blue black tone. But I applied it in the filmdeveloping process. I guess I have my answer..keep it away from the film and use it in the paper developer bath

It probably destroyed the developer. If it's a print toner, why did you add it to the film developer?
