Fortepan 400 in D-76: will 1:1 dilution work?

Post by kcf »

From having looked at a chart somewhere I have it in my mind Fortepan 400 should be processed in stock D-76. My intention is to process in 1:1 to control highlights. Am I making a mistake? Digitaltruth's got a listed time of 14 minutes for 1:1 at 68F. Has anyone had any experience with it?

Yes, you can do this, but IIRC the time is arround 19 min and an EI of 50!

I'll lookmy times and report back.

Yes, 19 min, D-76, 1+1, EI 160, NOT 50 as I said in my last post; I must have been thinking of Forte 100.

This is the slowest film I've ever seen. My remaining rolls are now demoted to ageing new batches of Diafine.

I never got to like this film, but Forte 100 was a decent product.
