So long as you give adequate exposure, printing is really not that difficult. This guy may have some points to make but I don't think there is any question that printing is always going to involve a bit of work.

I didn't watch the whole thing but really the essential thing is to expose so the shadow detail is there. That's all there is to it.

Is it me, or is there a bit of schizophrenia at work when, at one point Nocon praises how much more detail he could get out of the highlights and shadows if he got his hands on the original negative of a fashion photograph, using digital equipment+techniques, yet, at the very end of the interview, he says something like "Digital is NOT Photography!"
I look forward to any explanations provided.
