Pull processing

Post by D1000 »

I have a Ilford Delta 3200 which was been rated at 800. Any suggestions as to what the developing time should be? I will be using Ilford LC29 - 1+19 mix.

That is the normal speed of this material. Process accordingly.

Thankyou. Fingers crossed it comes out fine. I have done normal developing and pushed B&W film developing before without too much hassle. This will be my first pulled film.

It's not 'pulled' at all. That is the true speed of the film.

Because of their nature, the fastest films have the most latitude. To some extent, development is flexible.at least more so than with slower materials, especially the very slowest. Some people mistakenly believe that development can control or affect the speed of the emulsion. That's not what is happening at all. The film simply has more capability to tolerate 'underexposure' to begin with.
