I ask because it isn't discontinued at all.
Why is Fuji Microfine listed as obsolete?

Re: Why is Fuji Microfine listed as obsolete?
Although you may be able to find Microfine in Japan, our understanding is that it is NOT being manufactured currently. Additionally, you will note that the information on the Fujifilm.com Japan site also includes obsolete film so is not an indicator of current manufacturing.
Can you please let us know what information you have that Microfine is back in production? What is the expiry date printed on the package (the last know expiry date was 6/2020).
If there is any Microfine available with an expiry date in the future, we will move the listings from the obsolete chart to the current one.

I do notice that it's not listed as discontinued on their site here: https://www.fujifilm.com/jp/ja/consumer ... monochrome
And it's listed here on the black and white products page: https://www.fujifilm.com/jp/ja/consumer ... e_chemical

Re: Why is Fuji Microfine listed as obsolete?
We are aware it is listed on the Fuji site, but so are other discontinued products. Fuji issued a press release in the past in which it was listed as being discontinued, but we can no longer find this online. It is possible that they continued production on a smaller scale and never announced it. Microfine was originally a Japan-only product and never exported, but they had started exporting it which is no longer the case.
That being said, if you can buy it from Yodabashi Camera today, then it makes sense for us to put it back in the chart even if the expiry date is in the past.
We will add it back to the online chart and it will be added back to the app at the next update.

Thanks. Fuji must have changed their plans, so it is good to know it is in production.
